Canon® Network Inkjet Printer review
The Canon Network Inkjet Printer has USB ports, as well as an ethernet port for putting the printer on your network. You could even print from one PC via USB while using Wifi or ethernet to print from a networked PC. However while using Canon Network Inkjet Printer, don't access the printer by Wi-Fi and ethernet simultaneously.
The Canon Network Inkjet Printer is a substantial machine and uses a solid-looking, silver-colored, wraparound top cover to add to its apparent weight. This folds down onto the top surface of the printer out of the way, when the printer’s not in use. At the base of the Canon Network Inkjet Printer is a secondary tray, which can be used for letterheads, photo paper or other special media. The latter makes it easy to share all of the printer functions on a network at home or in a small-office work-group.
The Canon Network Inkjet Printer has two paper feeders- a bottom drawer in its base and an upright feeder at the back each capable of holding 150 sheets of plain paper. The function buttons on the front panel are few like one selects the paper source, and a second resumes or cancels print jobs. The Canon Network Inkjet Printer is a great all-around performer. It turned in the quickest text and graphics speeds we have seen from an inkjet. The printer also uses five individual ink cartridges, employing just three primary colors, fewer than usual for a photo printer. You could install the software drivers for a USB connection or for a network once you have installed the printer to one machine. It is easy to add the drivers to extra machines on either type of network.
- FIVE – Copying and scanning
Canon Network Inkjet Printer copying and scanning are simple, and in most instances, only a few parameters need to be set, like the scan type and destination. It prints photos, both from your PC and a memory card or PictBridge enabled digital camera. All you have to do is choose the type of media being used, and the size and number of prints.
- FOUR – Media handling
The printer is a high performance easy to use, wireless all in one. With great Creative Media functions including, CD or DVD printing, dual paper trays and auto-duplex, the Canon Network Inkjet Printer integrates seamlessly into any home or office network and achieves photo-lab quality results at speed. The printer delivers bold black text, faithful copies, intelligent scanning and stand-alone printing via memory cards, PictBridge and USB.
- THREE – Memory card
The paper receiver tray is a flap that covers your memory card slots, and below that is a USB port for attaching PictBridge enabled digital cameras, allowing for camera printing. While a green light above the flap illuminates whenever a memory card is inserted, the area surrounding the recessed slots themselves is made of black, nonreflective plastic. It makes very difficult to see what you are doing when inserting a card.
- TWO – Ink cartridges
The Canon Network Inkjet Printer uses five individual ink cartridges, employing just three primary colors, fewer than usual for a photo printer. There are two black inks like one dye-based for photos, the other a pigment-based for printing text. The Canon Network Inkjet Printer prints very attractive, vividly colored photos that should impress users.
