Another common error is the printer itself will not print correctly. At times, the page may print out half way and the rest of the document remains blank. Other times black may not print on a page. In this instance, sometimes a simple cleaning of the cartridge heads will do the trick, ensuring that the user has no further problems with the colors being printed. In fact, the most common cause of the printer not printing a particular color or only printing the page half way is a print head clog. The user should attempt to run the print head utility two or three times to try to clear the nozzle. In case this solution does not work, the user should perform a head cleaning and then print a nozzle check pattern –these two actions must be performed in a cycle. The user should then examine the dot pattern of the nozzle printout. Every line should be complete and if they are not the user should perform another cycle –up to three if necessary. However, most find that the best way to solve this problem is to simply buy a print head cleaning kit and clean the nozzle and print head manually.
