- FIVE – Print quality
The Epson Stylus R2880 offers one of the best prints of any desktop printer. The addition of the vivid magenta ink helps increase the quality of black and white output especially in shadows. It produces deep, rich blacks and a broad tonal range which is a stunning factor for anyone interested in black and white printing. The output it gives is neutral on both matte and glossy media.
- FOUR – Radiance color matching
Epson is also using a new color technology called Radiance. Radiance mainly decides how colors in a photo are represented on the printed page. This provides more efficient ink usage, higher quality images and improved color constancy while viewing prints under varying lighting conditions. The technology behind Radiance is supremely designed to hit three points—grain, color gradations, and color constancy. It achieves these through efficient mixing of the inks in the R2880 Epson printer.
- THREE – Ultra Chrome K3 Vivid
This Epson printer has added the vivid magenta and vivid light magenta inks to its Stylus Pro wide-format line. This new ink offers a wider range and improved black and white performance. This ink can produce prints with amazing color fidelity, gloss level and scratch resistance. It consistently provides stable colors. It is also a perfect choice for professional neutral and toned black and white prints with higher density levels and no metamerism.
- TWO – Anti-clogging feature
The Epson Stylus R2880 has added features which are solely designed to reduce clogging. One of them is an ink-repelling coating on the printhead. The other is the addition of tiny glass beads to the ink cartridge. This coating keeps ink from building up on the printhead. This lowers the chance of blocked nozzles and the glass beads help stir the ink while the printer is working keeping up optimal viscosity.
- ONE – Set-up
Ease of set-up is one added advantage of the Epson Stylus R2880. It can be set up quickly and with minimal effort. The 11ml ink cartridges will snap easily into place.
