The Epson Stylus Color 760 is ideal for small offices; as the printer enables high scale production of print outs without interfering with the overall print quality. Your presentations, newsletters, reports and digital photos will grab your audience with 1440 dpi Photo Quality color images and crisp, laser-sharp black text.
The software package you will get with the Epson Stylus Color 760 includes eFax, for easy retrieval of your faxes via e-mail, plus big-office photo editing from Polaroid PhotoMAX Pro and Arcsoft Photo Printer SE. You could even send additional popular titles, including Corel Ventura, Rand-McNally Route Planner, and Jack Nicklaus Golf. The Epson Stylus Color 760 Inkjet connects to a Macintosh computer using its built-in USB port or to a Windows PC using the USB port or standard parallel port. In addition, you can share the printer on an Ethernet network using the Axis 1440 print server, specially designed for Epson printers. A three-page mixed text and graphics document is produced at 3 ppm, with good color reproduction and the same clear, sharp text.
- FIVE – Excellent printing quality
The Epson Stylus Color 760 inkjet printer, prints at the default speed setting, as twenty-page test document can be printed at 4 pages per minute, slower than the 7-ppm maximum touted by the manufacturer. When printed on higher-grade paper, output will be similar laser quality. But timing significantly is changed when you print the same document at the highest quality setting 1.2 ppm, or sixteen minutes and twenty seconds.
- FOUR – Print driver
The print driver for the Stylus Color 760 provides plenty of choices for a variety of printing needs. The default settings will usually produce excellent results, but if you wish to adjust the printing mode you can select PhotoEnhance, designed for scanning or digitally capturing images, including sepia and soft focus effects. The driver tracks the ink levels in the cartridges.
- THREE – Poster layout
In addition to selecting 2- and 4-up printing, you can select the order of the pages on the single sheet and decide if you want them framed or not. Four, nine or sixteen page poster layouts are obtainable and it only takes a few mouse clicks to add cutting lines, overlapping panels or to omit panels in which no printing occurs. Unfortunately, there is no provision in the driver for two-sided printing.
- TWO – Media handling
The printer handles up to 100 sheets of paper or 10 envelopes in the input tray, and about 30 sheets in the output tray. Printing on cards, labels, transparencies, iron-on transfers and banners is also available. Epson says its black cartridge life is around 900 pages for letter-type documents, and the color cartridge will print approximately 300 pages with 15% coverage. The Stylus Color 860 has a smoke-colored cover so you could preview output.
- ONE – High-End Print quality
Printing a full page graphic on glossy paper can take almost eleven minutes and the colors showed bright yellows, rich reds, and deep blues along with good shadow quality. Four by six digital camera photos printed in less than a minute and they are good enough to share. Reducing and enlarging an image to fit a particular size of media is quickly accomplished.
Custom settings provide you an extensive level of control over printed output, including color management, print quality dpi settings, limited halftoning, sharpness and tone modifications you could save your settings for later use.
