Kip Printer 2900 Error Codes
Do you get error codes on your KIP Printer 2900? Then find out why and how to fix it.
There are three very common error codes that one gets with KIP printers, including those in the 2900 series. These errors are categorized under the 2900 error code family. These are P level codes and are most commonly displayed when there is something specifically wrong with one of the motors in the printer. In these cases, it is important that the user finds out what code is being displayed directly on the printer. More often than not, the user will find out that the code that is being displayed on the printer screen does not represent the exact problem that the printer is experiencing.
To determine the exact error code, the user needs to remove the left panel of the printer. In order to remove the left panel, the user must first locate two holes near the bottom of the panel. He or she then needs to find the screws that are holding the panel in place, located in each hole. After these screws are removed, the panel can be easily detached by pushing down on the top of the panel until it literally pops out of place. This enables the user to identify the exact error code that is being displayed by the printer at the internal level, as opposed to the error code that is displayed on the screen of the printer. The exact code is displayed on the main board: there is a counter on the board that shows the correct error code and allows the user to find out the exact problem by referring to the operating manual.
In the 2900 family of KIP printers, many users tend to get the following error codes:
- P-A3 level error code
- P-80 level error code
- P-84 level error code
P-A3 level error code
When encountering a P-A3 code, the user most likely may be experiencing E9. E9 deals directly with the blower motor, which means that you need to fix it to resolve the error code.
P-80 level error code
It is also common to find that users with a P-80 error have the same sort of problem with the blower motor. The most effective means of repairing this problem is to replace the blower motor in question. If that does not fix the problem, there is most likely an issue with the printer filter and this must be dealt with by a professional.
P-84 level error code
In the case of a P-84 error, the user should, again, remove the left panel of the printer to check the exact error code affecting the printer. P-84 errors most commonly refer to a paper jam in the paper feeder. Most likely, the user is dealing with a fuser motor that is lax in its operations, and is displaying an EF code error. To resolve this issue, you should ideally consult a professional tech expert.
