Printer Error Code 59 C0

Wondering what Printer Error Code “59 C0” means and how you can fix it on your printer?
One common error code among all printers is “59 C0”. This code usually affects the printer motor. The problem can range from a couple of issues that occur within the printer’s motor. It can also be a cartridge issue. Depending on the printer and which manual the user is referring to, the solution to fix this error varies.
- Error code “59 C0” due to problems with printer motor
- Error code “59 C0” due to problems with cartridges
- Error code “59 C0” due to broken back sliding lock
Error code “59 C0” due to problems with printer motor
For those users who are having a problem with the printer motor, this C level problem is referred to as ‘developing disengaging motor rotation error'. Most likely, this problem points to an issue with the function of the DC controller: either it has failed or it has affected the developing disengaging assembly. The solution is quite simple and the user may fix the error in a matter of few steps. The first step is to reconnect the J16 connectors that are used for the developing disengaging motor to the J1100 connectors that are used for the DC controller PCB (that is the printer circuit board of the DC controller). After connecting these two connectors to each other, the user must replace the developing disengaging drive assembly directly. The final step is to replace the DC controller PCB, after which the printer is to be recalibrated.
Error code “59 C0” due to problems with cartridges
Another more complex problem that leads to the “59 C0” error code is a problem with the cartridges. The user must first remove all the printer cartridges in order to view the right swing guide. Once these have been removed, the user must check for certain parts in the printer, which mostly resemble upside-down Ts. If the user finds that the swing guide does not move all the way backwards, then the most likely problem is a missing plastic component of the swing guide. This part also resembles an upside-down T.
Error code “59 C0” due to broken back sliding lock
Another problem that may cause the error to display is when the black sliding lock is broken, out of place, or missing its spring. If any of these cases, the user must replace the swing guide completely. He or she should attempt to locate the missing piece within the printer so that it does not cause further problems in it.
If the swing guide does function properly, then gently close the door, paying close attention to the right side of the printer’s swing arm. If the right side swing arm closes in the same manner as the left side swing arm, then your printer is functioning just fine and you may simply need to turn it off to fix the error. If the right swing arm does not close properly, then the machine should be serviced by a professional to fix the problem.
