HP announces new printers
In its annual Imaging and Printing Conference in Shanghai, HP announced to build 13 new printers designed especially for small and mid-sized businesses. Along with the hardware announcements, HP also announced consumer features like ePrint Wireless Direct that would allow users to print from a smartphone, without the Internet. It boasts of an advanced HP Printer Control app for iOS devices and SociallD, which provides the users a custom e-mail address that makes it easier for multiple users to print from the cloud.
Among the printers that were announced, the HP TopShot Laser Jet M275 received a lot of attention. It is a multifunction printer with new TopShot Scanning that captures images of 3D objects and scans documents. The rest of the announced printers include: Pro 100 Color MFP M175nw, Enterprise 600 series, and Enterprise 500 Color M551 series.
The HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One printer replaces the popular HP Officejet Pro 8500A Plus. It has a 4.3 inch screen, 250-sheet input tray, and automatic double-sided printing to save money and ink. HP Officejet Pro 8100 e-Printer was introduced under the category of inkjet printers. The Scanjet Enterprise 8500 fn1 Document Capture Workstation was the new scanner.
With the announcement of these printers, it seems individuals as well as small-sized businesses will immensely gain from them. And with the introduction of printing through smartphones, printing technology has definitely reached the next level.
