A badge for learning how to print in 3D
Remember Adafruit Industries Inc., a company that gave the concept of printing directly from the Internet without requiring a PC to act as a middleware. The Internet of things printer is ready to revolutionize the way we print from the Internet, courtesy Adafruit Industries. The same company recently came up with a novel idea for entrepreneurs, business establishments, and training institutes, to reward those who have learnt a new skill by giving them a badge for their achievement. The skill can be anything, learning how to weld, learning how to use the best OS available or for that matter, learning how to 3D print.
If we specifically talk about 3D printing as a skill, according to the badge description for the same:
This skill badge is awarded for those who have done amazing things with 3D printing. Whether they've built a kit, designed a system from scratch, or explored a new method, they're bringing the future home!
And if we talk about the badge, it is a really attractive one. This 5 X 4 cm 3D printing badge has embroidered patches and the design also looks 3D. Adafruit’s belief behind such idea is that everyone should be rewarded for learning a useful skill, and a badge is just a way of doing so. The badges are up for sale on Adafruit’s site.
