After bankruptcy, Kodak® relies upon digital printing!
As everyone knows that the pioneer in photography and printing solutions–Eastman Kodak Co. has filed for bankruptcy, the corporation is now focusing on becoming a digital printing specialist. The bankruptcy has led to the selling of its photography divisions. Kodak is now focusing upon offering an extensive range of consumer and commercial digital systems.
Kodak is now making efforts towards turning itself into an entity that manufactures an extensive range of printers for advertising, publishing and packaging. There are various plans to expand the list of 11,000 patents by suing for license fees.
“This is a melting ice cube of a business,” said Amer Tiwana, an analyst at CRT Capital Group LLC in Stamford, Connecticut, before the filing. “When you’re staring at a situation like that, it’s typically better to go ahead and deal with it rather than close your eyes and hope that the situation will somehow miraculously improve.”
