Best of OKIData® and Toshiba® To Create Multifunction Printers
Can you tell what happens when two technology giants collaborate to use their best concepts, technologies, and vision? Well, you get a product that is an all encompassing little device with every advantage fitted in it and seldom with disadvantages. Yes, this is perhaps what OKIData and Toshiba have planned to surprise their clientele with, by coming up with a never before breed of multifunction printer.
According to the latest reports, OKIData and Toshiba have entered an agreement wherein they are pooling resources to start up a “full-scale deployment of technologies and products”. They are aiming to target the global market by combining OKIData’s competence in LED technologies and Toshiba’s proficiency in manufacturing A3 MFPs.
With the agreement now in place, the companies aim to develop a competitive A4 size multifunction printer using the Managed Print Services design of OKIData. Furthermore, as a part of the pact, Toshiba will develop high precision MFPs set with digital LED printheads – an OKIDATA product. On the other hand, OKIData has confirmed that its compact electro-photographic unit will now start integrating controllers, a Toshiba product.
