Clays installs Kodak® Prosper 1000 Press for better cost driven quality
Established almost 200 years ago, UK-based leading print group, Clays has announced the installation of Kodak Prosper 1000 Press as a part of its book production line.
The Kodak Prosper 1000 is a compact monochrome press that offers high quality performance and offset-class quality prints. Erwin Busselot, Kodak’s regional marketing director for digital printing, said, “The Kodak Prosper 1000 Press is ideal for printing short-run high quality books.”
Clays and Kodak have a strong business partnership. Installing Kodak Prosper 1000 is an initiative to take further the cost driven quality. Other Kodak equipment that Clays uses are: three Kodak VLF Platesetters, three Kodak LOTEM Platesetters for offset production, a Kodak DIGIMASTER EX150 Digital Production System, and the company is also in the final stage of installing a Kodak PRINERGY Workflow System.
This initiative to install Kodak Prosper 1000 is to give Clays’ publishers an added value aiming at efficient and cost effective supply chain. Kodak Printers are known all over the world for their quality performance.
Clays’ Managing Director McFarlan believes that Clays is now perfectly placed to take advantage of the ever increasing short run book printing market. “The installation of the Kodak Prosper 1000 Press establishes our position and strengthens the digital production side of our business,” McFarlan said.
According to McFarlan, installing Kodak Prosper 1000 Press establishes the fact to the customers that Clays continues to build its business around the benefit of the customers. Kodak Prosper 1000 Press has the ability to print 120 pages per minute and 1,000 books per hour.
With the newly installed Kodak Prosper 1000, Clays is going a step further to enhance its print quality at a lesser cost, which is a win-win situation for both, the customers and the company.
