SolarJet – The new solar-powered printer
Solar-powered gadgets and equipment are in huge demand these days owing to the energy conservation features they offer. The new addition to the list of solar-powered devices is SolarJet printer. The SolarJet printer is fabricated by Digital Photonics Corporation. It has been designed for selective emitter application of the front contacts on the silicon crystalline PV cells.
SolarJet printers simplify the offline process feasibility, and hence aid in a faster lab printing with a capacity of 30 wafers each hour with manual loading and 200 wafers per hour with the auto-loading function.
The SolarJet printer is the first ever device that uses new VersaEtch material - along with etchant and n-dropant. These etchant and dopant together match the enhanced efficiency of cells. The VersaEtch also aids in a complete and proper removal of an anti-reflective SiNx top layer.
The printer will be unveiled at the SNEC 6th International Solar Industry and Photovoltaic Exhibition and Conference from 16-18 May 2012, at Shanghai, China.
