Dimension 3D Printing is one of the verticals of Stratasys Inc. The corporation has today announced 10 finalists for its upcoming Extreme Redesign 3D Printing Challenge 2012. This one is the eighth annual competition.
The program is structured with a full focus on students of all age groups. It requires them to send innovative product design, any original art or architecture, or any redesign of an existing product for that matter. The winning students will be rewarded with $2,500 or $1,000 worth of scholarships by Dimension 3D printing . These awards will be based upon the creativity, aesthetics, as well as the usefulness of the models.
The judges this year include industry leaders: David Mantey, Editor at Product Design & Development magazine; Ian Kovacevich, VP of Engineering at Enventys, LLC; Patrick Gannon, Engineering Manager at rp+m (a Thogus partner); and Todd Grimm, Editor at Engineering.com.
