Following acquisition by Canon®, OCE® printers debut in Philippines market

Finally, consumers and businesses of Philippines can benefit from Canon Inc.’s recent acquisition of printer-maker OCE NV. In a press conference in Manila, Philippines, Canon Marketing (Philippines) Inc. made a formal announcement about the OCE acquisition to its partners and the media.
The purchase of OCE did cost Canon a whopping $1.1 billion. The deal was under agreement since November 2009. According to Alan Chng, president and chief executive of Canon Marketing Philippines, the intention of Canon is to “set the bar for printing and imaging”.
OCE Arizona 318 flatbed printer, the OCE ColorStream 350, the OCE PlotWave 350, OCE VarioPrint 6000 Ultra, and OCE VarioPrint DP Line are some of the OCE products that are now available for the customers in Philippines.
Jojo Bolima, director of the Business Imaging Solutions division of Canon, said, “We can now offer the largest product portfolio. You name it, we have it.”
