HP and Conde Nast Publications® collaborate
For all you Conde Nast publications fans, here’s some good news. Now you don’t need to buy the copies of Wired, Glamour, and any other favorite magazine from a book store. Hewlett-Packard, the American MNC, has come up with a brilliant collaboration with Conde Nast. The idea is to explore an all new digital content distribution medium that amalgamates digital to print service and rich content. Now, your favorite magazines will be sent directly to your printer, from where you can print your own personalized magazine.
According to the HP press release, “Using scheduled delivery to HP web-connected printers using HP print tools, publishers can reach readers more frequently than with print magazines and more tangibly than via e-mail."
The idea sounds great. Hold on! You don’t even need to worry about wasting expensive ink in printing your magazine since HP has a perfect solution for this as well. The new HP program, HP Instant Ink, will help you if your ink usage is high. It will help you in cutting costs as well. Now, you can easily merge rich content and digital-to-print service. This collaboration is called “On demand content”.
The launch of pilot subscription service helps in delivering replacement ink to those who own HP printers – both in office as well as at home. The Conde Nast branded digital content can be easily printed on the web connected printers now.
According to HP, “Users might receive up to 50 per cent annual savings on ink cartridge purchases for one low monthly fee. Subscriptions for HP Instant Ink will be available from $5.99 to $10.99 per month depending on the product line, plus all cartridge shipping is included.”
