Professional publishers face major printing problems while using the conventional desktop publishing software. In order to solve these printing issues, Inkling has unveiled a new software environment called Inkling Habitat. The software is designed mainly for publishers to help them publish media-rich and appropriate content for the Internet as well as the iPad.
Using Inkling Habitat, publishers can include content comprising 3D exhibits, guided tours, HD videos, and quizzes. The content is not merely limited to the plain Jane text. Along with a much sorted content structure, Inkling Habitat puts everything on the Cloud, which makes easy for a group to share a common project.
Matt MacInnis, CEO of Inkling launched Inkling Habitat at the Tools of Change for Publishing conference in the New York, said "It's not about replicating the printed page on a screen. It's about making a first-class interactive experience on every device you target, and this is the first time publishers can do it reliably and at scale."
Inkling Habitat will be available later this year.
