McAfee has planned to incorporate its security software into Xerox printers. The basic aim behind such a step is to protect and safeguard sensitive data stored on office printers. This is the primary reason that McAfee and Xerox have come together.
The two entities together conducted a detail survey regarding the security of a company and found out that the biggest threat was due to the carelessness of the employees towards the security policies.
McAfee has made it official that its security software will be used inside the Xerox printers, which will further shield the company data. The McAfee technology will help by creating a security layer between the software and the processor and will detect whenever there is a malware attack.
"Xerox is adding the McAfee technology to its own security mechanisms in order to defend against the growing sophistication of cyber-criminals,” said Larry Kovnat, senior manager of product security at Xerox.
