Print Industries Market Information and Research Organization, better known as PRIMIR is out with its reports on its latest study that is based upon the issue – "Impact of Electronic Technologies on Print."
According to Marco Boer, Vice President, I.T. Strategies, and principal researcher on this study, "Contrary to popular belief, mostly fueled by media saturation, e-books, iPads and other similar devices aren't the root cause for the decline in page volume within the various print applications. Instead, the true major change-agent is a shift in business models."
The study was all about how communications will affect the printing industry. After an exhaustive research for eight months and discussions with industry experts and technologists, the study confirms that electronic technologies do affect major print applications and printers in a great way.
The study also reveals that all the print applications will not be impacted equally. It also stated that in the times to come, the impact on page volume will be lesser comparatively.
