In order to boost up their managed print services HP and Xerox have plans of making newer acquisitions. Both the giant corporations have recently made announcements about their respective acquisitions.
HP has signed a definitive agreement for acquiring the assets of MPS provider Printelligent whereas, Xerox on the other hand has acquired a print services company based in the U.K. – NewField IT.
Both the corporations will have different responsibilities and duties. NewField IT will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Xerox.
“As an independent unit, we can take advantage of Xerox’s global presence and respected innovation in the MPS space to scale our business and technology,” said Robert Newry, Co-founder. Talking about HP and Printelligent, the acquisition will be integrated into LaserJet and Enterprise Solutions, within the HP Imaging and Printing Group.
Rob Wellman, CEO of Printelligent said, “With HP’s strength, this offering will continue to grow, and channel partners will deliver an unparalleled solution to help customers better manage their print environments.”
