Rapman is the star of the show
A 3D-printer attracted one and all at the School of Arts and Sciences Student Symposium that was held in the Modlin Center for the Arts at the University of Richmond. A group of University of Richmond students presented their ‘Rapman 3.2’ 3-D printer during the symposium. William Barksdale, Steven Daniel and Sineep Dinesh are the creators of Rapman.
As an illustration of what Rapman can do, the three man team of students designed a miniature spaceship with its use. According to William Barksdale, college students, can use this printer to print “personalized objects,” such as an iPhone case or shot glasses. Barksdale, along with Dinesh and Daniel have a club of their own called “UR SERVANTS” that secured the funding for printer through the Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Committee of the school.
