Reichental demonstrates Cube on CNN®
3D Systems CEO Abe Reichental has recently demonstrated the new U.S. $1300 "Cube" personal 3D printer on CNN. While being on air, Reichental explained the basics of the 3D printing to the audience present during the show entitled “CNN Saturday”. He gave insights into how 3D Systems is democratizing the 3D printing technology by bringing it within the reach of the common man and eventually leading to an increased home manufacturing.
While at the show, Reichental also produced a small model of CNN host Randi Kaye's head. In lesser than hour, a fully-colored head was printed with the use of an iPhone app and the Cube personal 3D printer.
Reichental also shared the plans of 3D Systems to go on a “Cube Odessey” of their own. As part of this initiative, the company’s officials would travel to 25 U.S. cities where they will demonstrate the Cube printer and show off examples of 3D-printed objects. Indeed, it’s a great opportunity of all 3D printing lovers who haven’t seen a fully functional 3D printer in person.
