A Stencil Printer with Software-Controlled Processing
Kea Semiautomatic Screen/Stencil Printer features software for process control
The constantly evolving printer market saw the arrival of a new printer Kea Semiautomatic Screen/Stencil Printer, which comes equipped with a sliding print table. The printer uses steel and stencil tension frames of up to 23 inches. The device can be used for borderless printing on substrates with a maximum area of 400mm x 460 mm. The verification of substrate alignment, before the printing process begins, is done through integrated vision. If the position of the substrate is correct, the printing process happens automatically and is controlled by a software. If the alignment goes amiss, printing will cease.
The software used in the printer is such that it takes care of all the printing parameters (print quality included). The sliding print table is meant for easy loading and although Kea is semi-automatic, the software-controlled printing process is the same as one can witness in an automatic printer. Set-up and changeover do not take much time and the device comes with all the prerequisites for fine-pitch printing. This includes an easy-to-use twin camera vision system that comes with Digital Zoom facility.
Kea Semiautomatic Screen/Stencil Printer has been designed by Essemtec, a Swiss company that has been manufacturing flexible production systems for different processes in the electronic industry since 1991. These include printers, dispensers, soldering instruments, etc. The systems that the Essemtec factory churns out are of a diverse range: manual, semi-automatic, and automatic. The company even manufactures products for transportation and storage.
