The Consumer Electronic Show (CES) conference this year saw the launch of the all new range of Kodak Printers. Kodak, the name which is distinguished and recognized for manufacturing and selling cameras has now laid its hand upon the printer market and has come up with exciting range of 3D printers. The basic idea to launch these printers is to target the local consumer market where one can get the prints easily and conveniently.
“Kodak has had a piece of printing photos since day one, and as photos have gone from print to digital, what has happened is that people are going to retail but more and more are using Inkjet printers to print them [their pictures and photos] at home as well,” said Ohlweiler, Kodak Director and VP-Inkjet Printers.
He also stated that the company has a strong hold in the South African market and there are possibilities of the printers gaining popularity in that region. These printers are cost effective and do not require extra support equipment for functioning.
Moreover, these printers are full of extensive features which provide superior performance and high quality prints. With Kodak printers taking the center stage soon, these printers promise to be a tough competition to popular printers such as HP, Epson and Lexmark. Kodak is going to be the first consumer inkjet printer manufacturer and the first one to launch them at highly affordable price.
