You must have read about 3D printers churning out chocolate delights, cakes, pasta, and cookies. But a burrito made by a 3D printer is the latest development in the field of 3D printing technology.
What is Burrito
Burrito is a Mexican dish that consists of a tortilla rolled around a filling, typically of beans or ground or shredded beef. The American style burritos are larger in size than the Mexican ones, and are stuffed with more ingredients than the primary meat or vegetable filling. Burrito is also known as Taco.
Brain behind making of BurritoBot
The BurritoBot 3D printer is designed by a New York University graduate student named Marko Manriquez. Unlike the previously designe3d 3D printers that generate layer upon layer of plastics (or other materials) to create 3D objects, the BurritoBot can pump out customizable amounts of Mexican ingredients such as black beans, pinto beans, cheese, pico de gallo, cream, mild salsa, and hot salsa onto a pre-made tortilla as per the user’s taste and preference.
How BurritoBot works
The BurritoBot 3D printer user has to only select the desired topping and amount via an iOS or Ruby web-based app to customize his Mexican dish before allowing BurritoBot to do the rest of job.
